New construction
Gunite pools and spas designed around your lot, your house, and how you actually use a backyard. Sun shelves, perimeter overflow, sheer descents, glass mosaic tile, travertine and marble decking, screen enclosures, outdoor kitchens.
About · Palm Beach County, Florida
It's structural concrete, plumbing, electrical, and permitting, running for months in the space where your family lives. That's why we run it like construction, not like landscaping.
Who we are
JM Pool Pros is an owner-operated pool construction company working across Palm Beach County. We design and build new pools, and we remodel existing ones — for private homeowners, custom home builders, and developers.
Since 2025 we've completed more than 100 pools in South Florida. Every one of them went through the same process, and the owner of this company was on every one of those job sites.
We don't do kitchens. We don't do roofing. Pools are a specific trade with specific failure modes — bad soil, bad drainage, bad rebar, a shell poured in the wrong weather — and the only way to avoid them consistently is to do this and only this.
Working in Palm Beach County means building around a high water table, sandy and inconsistent soils, hurricane code, and municipalities that each read the permit requirements a little differently. A crew that learned the trade somewhere else has to learn all of that again on somebody's project.
We already know which inspectors want what, which subs show up, and which neighborhoods have easement surprises waiting under the sod. That knowledge doesn't show up in a brochure, but it shows up in your schedule.
“Decide on the pool you actually want, then decide how to pay for it. Doing it the other way around is how people end up remodeling in year three.”
Miqueias Rodrigues — Owner, JM Pool Pros
What we build
Gunite pools and spas designed around your lot, your house, and how you actually use a backyard. Sun shelves, perimeter overflow, sheer descents, glass mosaic tile, travertine and marble decking, screen enclosures, outdoor kitchens.
Resurfacing, retiling, new coping, deck replacement, equipment upgrades, and reshaping tired pools from the 80s and 90s into something that fits the house it sits behind. Often the highest return per dollar of any exterior project.
We're the pool trade on custom home and spec projects across the county. Bid packages, schedule coordination with your other trades, clean lien waivers, and a single point of contact who answers the phone during the build.
How we work
Every project we run moves through the same defined sequence, from the first conversation to handover: design, permitting, layout, excavation, steel, plumbing, electrical, gunite, tile and coping, decking, equipment set, screen, plaster, startup, walkthrough.
The reason that matters isn't the list. It's that you always know which stage you're in, what has to happen before the next one starts, and what it costs. Pool projects go sideways when nobody can answer those three questions.
Payments
Payments are tied to completed construction milestones, not to the calendar. Nothing comes due until the work it pays for is finished and you've walked out and seen it.
The exact schedule depends on the scope of your project, so we set it with you before anything is signed and it's written into your contract in plain language. You'll know every payment and what triggers it before we break ground.
Milestones, not dates
Each payment is attached to a specific stage being complete — not to a day on a calendar that arrives whether the work did or not.
Agreed before you sign
The full schedule is set during contracting and written into the agreement. No payment on this project will ever be a surprise to you.
Weighted toward completed work
We don't front-load. The deposit covers design, engineering and permitting — the real money follows excavation, shell, and finish work you can stand and look at.
Changes priced before they happen
If scope changes mid-build, it's documented and priced in writing before the work starts. Nothing gets added to your final invoice that you didn't approve first.
Ask any builder for theirs
The most common way pool projects go wrong is a contractor collecting too much too early. Whoever you hire, get the schedule in writing first.
Our standards
There are places on a pool where saving money costs you later. These are the ones we hold the line on, even when it makes our number less attractive than someone else's.
Rebar schedule and gunite thickness are what keep a shell from cracking a decade from now. They're also completely invisible once the plaster goes on, which is exactly why they're the first thing a cheap bid trims.
Every trade on your property carries current licensing and insurance, and we hold documentation on file before they set foot on the job. An uninsured crew on your property is your exposure, not just ours.
If the scope changes, it gets documented and priced before the work happens. No surprise line items at the end, and no verbal agreements that two people remember differently in month four.
Every pool we build is permitted and inspected under our Florida license. Unpermitted work becomes your problem when you sell the house, and it is not a cheap problem.

Who we work with
Private homeowners come to us for one pool that has to be right. That project gets a real design conversation, a firm number, and a schedule we hold to.
Custom home builders and developers come to us because we bid accurately, we don't hold up the certificate of occupancy, and our paperwork is clean when it hits your accounting department. We're used to being one trade inside a larger schedule.
We deliberately stay out of the high-volume tract market. Running fewer pools a year is what lets the owner of this company actually be on your job.
The consultation is free, takes about 50 minutes, and ends with a real number instead of a range.
